What it is
A home for provably correct systems.
There's a lot of formal-methods talent in the city, but nothing yet that brings the professional side of it together across verification, AI, and finance. That's the gap we're filling. Whether you work with Lean, Coq, or TLA+ every day, or you're just curious about software you can actually prove is right, there's a place for you here.
Why now
The question got urgent.
AI writes a lot of our code and math now. So "how do we actually know it's right?" isn't just an academic question anymore. New York has the people for this, and the problems that need it. It just hasn't had a room to talk it over, so we're making one.
Format
Mostly just talking.
Monthly evenings, kept low-key on purpose. Some nights feature a short talk from someone in the community; others are just good conversation. A spot to chat between events is coming soon.
Who it's for
Come meet people working on hard problems.
There are lots of ways to be part of this. Give a talk, help shape where it goes, or just come along and listen. You never have to present anything to belong here. Most of the good stuff happens in the conversations anyway.
